Essays Contest – Craiova Faculty of Law and Sauleanu & Associates
admin / 0 Comments /The Faculty of Law within Craiova University has continued this year the tradition of organizing the Law Essays Contest. At its 11th edition, the contest welcomed all the students of the Law Faculty in Craiova, both from the first cycle of Bachelor’s degree and the second cycle of Master’s degree. The approximate 40 participants this year have had the freedom of choosing the theme of the essay from any law related domains, which insured the desired diversity, with themes varying from “The Impact of the Muslim Migration on the European Future or About the New Invasion of the Europe”, “The European Ombudsman and the national Ombudsman – Similarities and Differences”, to “The Right to its Own Image. Adjacent Element for the Protection of the Human Being”, “Ancillary relief” and other essays at least as interesting as these.
The Essays Contest was organized under the coordination of the Dean of Law, Mr. Sevastian Cercel and with the support of its partner which, in the meantime have become permanent collaborators, Sauleanu and Associates Law Firm.
The Jury of the Contest was composed of Mr. Lucian Sauleanu – Senior Lecturer, Mrs. Lavinia Stuparu – Lecturer and Mrs. Livia Calin – Lecturer. The following students have been awarded:
– First Prize: Cima Viorica for the essay “The Impact of the Muslim Migration on the European Future or About the New Invasion of the Europe” and Golgotă Luiza Maria for the essay “The Impact of the Refugees’ Crisis on the fundamental human rights”;
– Second Prize: Nicu Andreea Madalina for “Essay concerning the procedure of taking over the files from other Public Prosecutor’s Offices”
– Third Prize: Peca Ancuța-Mirabela for the essay ““Ancillary relief”
– Mention: Agapie Andreea-Claudia for the essay “Difficulties in the pecuniary evaluation of the non-patrimonial damage – non-material damages”
The students have been presented with the awards in an official gala which took place at the headquarters of the Faculty of Law on the 7th of December 2015, the prizes consisting of current legal literature.
